Received my Beads Yesterday but I did not want to open it until I had mine in the mail for Christine.
I was like a kid in the candy shop... I was so excited to open my package....
This is what I received from my bead partner Christine.

Everything was so nicely packaged and labeled.

WOW.... Christine does her own Faux beads with polymer clay,

it was great that she labeled them.

What a wonderful donut bead from polymer clay.

I love the silk cord idea.

Christine works with many different mediums she loves many things like I do....

she noted buttons..... well if you have read my past blogs you will see I have a thing for buttons also.

CLEANING UP MY SCRAP PILE

While working on my PMC I find that sometimes I have to scrap pieces that have broken, get frustrated with or something did not turn out just right.
I decided to go back to that pile and work with some of the pieces.
This Necklace was done with the leaves that kept breaking.... the tips broke off.
so I just went with the flow and made a necklace and called it Falling Leaves.

This is some of my scrap pile.
On the top piece I fired the piece to hot, it melted and slumped the glass.

On the bottom piece the hinge kept braking off.

I went back to the drawing board and decided to work at it again.

Dark Chocolate and Cream

I don't know why this makes me think of Chocolate and cream but I had to call it something....

I was going through my button collection and this one just popped out at me.

It was laying on my table for a couple of days and I decided to get to work on it.

After setting it in the PMC I went to work on the chain and decided to carry the 1/2 and 1/2 look up to the chain, using a few fun looking smaller buttons to accent the center one.

It is at the Nebraska State Fair, in The Grow Nebraska store FOR SALE!

Well here is one of my latest in PMC. I have been busy with many irons in the fire so it has been hard to keep up with doing PMC, so enjoy the Pictures and I hope to get more done.

A weekend of learning

My Friend Rachel from Two Dog Pond (check out her blog) and I signed up for a Enameling class this last weekend so I could incorporate it with my PMC

All of the pieces at class was done on copper

This is the first piece we did to learn how to use the torch and the different textures we can create.

second piece that looks ok but the picture does not show the colors real well.

After the first day of class I stayed over at Rachel's wonderful country retreat home and we played that evening....

Rachel does wonderful pieces of Jewelry and I have always wanted to learn how to do glass in a kiln

These are the pieces I did, now I have to incorporate them in my PMC....
After placing our pieces in the kiln I got to sit on there deck and look out to the peaceful pond and watch the blue bird on the blue bird house

How cool is that!

Next day at class

We were able to fly on our own and this is what I did
This piece I learned how to wet pack the enamel (the sun)

it is hard to see the color changes in the photo

it is a brown background, fire red in lower rt corner, at an angle to the center and then the white splatter look.

The fun part is I am going back to the Two Dog Pond (check out her Web site) to teach a 2 day PMC class in 3 days

PRETTY STONE

Not a good picture of the stone... it is so pretty with soft flesh pinks greens and off white colors.

I used a wallpaper sample for the background pattern that I thought looked interesting and organic with little leafs from my yard for the prongs that hold the stone.

I am trying to find some beads to accent the stone, no luck yet ho hum.

I have been working on some new items for the Cattlemen's Ball this weekend
Here is one that I just played around with, it is a new process.
Using wood clay and wrapping the PMC around or rolling it in a spiral I then sliced into thin pieces and began to assemble them into a pattern. well this is what I came up with....
I will post more of the ones I did later.

Custom Ring

This is a custom ring I did for a lady to give to her Husband ( a size 14 ) for their 10th Anniversary.

The stone is a black onyx.

Inside has CH 10 DH.... Happy Anniversary Guys Oh do I remember those days...

A little color for the Summer

A Little Summer Color

I have a few flowers in my yard for color, OK I don't have a green thumb ! ! !

I leave that to my Sister, she has a wonderful vegetable garden, fruit trees and beautiful flower gardens on her little country estate.

Hooked on Buttons

OK, I'm hooked on buttons, I might need some intervention.

As my sister would say "IN MY PAST LIFE".... I did a lot of sewing, but in this life... no ripping out.

Buttons are fun for me, I remember in my Grandmothers kitchen next to the stove, in the bottom drawer she had a large round black tin with a bright red rose on top.

As a child, I thought it was the neatest thing to pull the tin out and play with her collection of buttons.

Now I am off and running to do the next project for GPCAA workshop... I will share the next creation when finnished.

Even though the Snow is still falling in different parts of the country, I see my flowers popping up in the yard and Easter is on it's way.

It also has started to bloom in my Studio, this piece is for my upcoming workshop in Cozad.
